Venus Opposition Jupiter (October 14, 2011)

Venus (Value, Beauty and Love) meets up with Jupiter (Principles, Belief and Truth) in their yearly opposition or “Full Moon”…Today, you stand between these two, and you might, you just might reach an Epiphany…You can feel the pull to one and to the other…And if you hold still, if you can keep to the middle way, you may be ready for a revelation about the relationship between what you want (Venus) and what you relate to (Jupiter).

Whenever you encounter an opposition, it will seem as if life is throwing down a challenge, that you must choose between one way or the other… and it seems obvious, that both cannot be true or good, and so it’s either one side or the other, right?

But of course you have learned, for it is the heart and soul-song of your journey in Life-Consciousness-Spirit…You have come to understand that there is but one true path, the Royal Road of Spirit, your pathway home. The Middle Way rises above the apparent dichotomies of existence, these shadowed forms that spring from the apparent First Divide, of Spirit and Matter as the opposition underlying all the opposites, the Royal Path sees them all and Laughs! Because, in the end.…one and all have all come from THAT, which cannot be named or defined because it is without limit.

So now you face the challenge not to choose again…to find and hold to the Greater Reality and so see that the real illusion is this apparent separation…that here and always both Venus and Jupiter are equally speaking to truth, and you must hold them together to live the Truth.

Venus moving through Scorpio is pulling you into the Union, to the transcendence of your limited “I” so that you may form the more precious “We”. To do so you must surrender, let go and grow, relinquish certain, personal forms of value for ones that you can share. Venus in Scorpio speaks to the truth that ultimately nothing is “permanent”.

Jupiter in Taurus responds with the affirmation that there are enduring, everlasting values that you must hold to in order to be true to yourself, that you must have, hold and express your own value, to relate as you were destined to be…because, after all, you are one of the ones of the One…and the truth of you, the golden cord and core of you is…Immortal.

The Epiphany today, the revelation of now, is that both Venus and Jupiter are right. The Truths of Jupiter, those Permanent Values are and will always be…yet the forms of their manifestation, those beauties of Venus, must be constantly evolving, developing, changing and finally pass away, so that they may later return in a new-formed form…for nothing that is composite, that is “formed”, is forever in that form.

Jupiter and Venus are dancing their dance of Spirit and Matter, of Mortality and Immortality, of Love and Truth…and this is your dance too.

So celebrate and enjoy the beautiful sunset, dance while it may last…but do not mourn its passing…for beauty will be born anew as you turn around to sing your welcomes to a bright new day.

Dance your dance for Love and Truth…

Sun Conjunct Saturn (October 13, 2011)

The source of all that you can “Be” meets with what you have so far “Become”. The Sun has reached Saturn and your pure potential is getting a much needed “reality check”.

Just like in a New Moon, the coming together of two bodies in their conjunction represents a beginning; it is a release of new energy and meaning, an opportunity for a new relationship and what it means to you.

The Sun is your “Self”, it is your potential waiting to be released, formed and acknowledged. Saturn is what you have so far poured yourself into, it is your Reality. But the Spiritual paradox you face is that this very fulfillment of your Self, your self-realization, is also a very real limit upon your Self (over time). For you can only “Be” by being some “Thing”, which is by its very nature and being, being formed and manifested, Limited.

This is the dilemma of your journey, to be a spirit in the material world…

The opportunity you are given now is to begin again, to start a new year of releasing yourself into your forms of self-realization. Today you end a cycle of manifestation; today you begin a cycle of New Manifestation. Today you feel most poignantly that creative tension, the joy and pain, that comes out of all that “could or should be” being faced again with what you (and everyone else) has already made. Yes, there is much to be grateful for…but there is much to be done. Today you begin…

It has always been so.…this is your journey, to descend into matter so as to raise it up, into the light…and it takes time, a long, long time to get it right.

But today, today you can yet again make a new beginning.…to set yourself more firmly upon that path of promise…as you head back to the light.

Shine on!

Mercury Enters Scorpio (October 13, 2011)

Mercury plunges down, down into the depths of Scorpio till November 2. Your mind is drawn towards the mysteries of life, to puzzling out secrets within and without. You seek to go beyond mere appearances and discover the underlying truth.

But then the question becomes…what do you do with this knowledge, will you, should you share this secret with another? Well, that depends, of course. Sometimes a revelation or discovery is for you, and you were made ready for it.

Oftentimes the other is not and to bring it to their attention might not be wise or kind. Here it is best to follow the injunction that applies equally to knowledge as it does to medicine, “First, do no harm!”

If you sense that they might be ready to benefit from your discovery, approach the subject with care, caution and consideration. Remember, just as Scorpio creates this profound desire for a deeper union with the other, (and so brings about this greater desire to share with one another), that same eagerness to divulge a secret may bring about the opposite result, instead of a closer bond you may instead be faced with rejection and loss.

What should be your guide? If your desire and intention is personal, if it is for yourself because you hope to gain a closer tie by revealing this secret, well then it will not turn out well. If, instead, your motivation is impersonal, that you seek only to help another and resolve a problem for them and you, then you may be able to serve the cause of truth by illuminating the path for one another.

As the ancient teaching has it, “Be wise as a serpent…and gentle as a dove”!

Mercury Trine Neptune (October 12, 2011)

Hermes is about to leave those airy realms of Libra, where objectivity, balance and intellect hold sway…he’s diving down, into deeper waters, into those mysterious depths of Scorpio…so it is more than appropriate, in fact it is quite fortuitous, that Neptune, also known as Poseidon, imparts this gentle blessing to ease this transition from the cerebral to your intuitive mind.

Neptune rules your imagination, it is the fountain source for your ability to dissolve those necessary boundaries you formed to frame your space…because you need ever always, after a time, to move beyond and beyond to your next, greater space of understanding.

Today, Neptune’s gift for Mercury imparts a heightened intuition, a subtilizing sensibility which encourages you to perceive, think and convey without those blinders now…and so you slip beyond the rigid certainties of yesterdays and today.

You can see beyond those old assumptions…you let go, re-imagine and discover a new reality, a world beyond.…and you laugh, and smile and remember…this is how, this is the way…to dream, to believe…this is how you become the becoming.

Libra Full Moon (October 11, 2011)

Halfway through the Astrological Year, you’ve reached the other equinoctial Full Moon; it is the balance beaming, your counterpoint revelation to what you received at the Aries Full Moon. Back in April, the days were growing longer, and life and love were resurgent after a long winter’s night.

You stretched and yearned to find, to become more truly what you are to be…it was a time for moving into your greater sense of being “you”, unique…separate…exceptional. But you needed a reminder then, a binding back to that Great Truth…that you are only you, can only become you, through your relationship to one another. For you are not alone, ever.

But now you face the darkness, each day grows shorter…for you know, it is your gift to be aware, and so you must prepare…for you know, you can feel it, taste it…“Winter is Coming”!

The Sun is in Libra now, you have crossed the threshold, the crossing point of the Light; and Libra extols the virtues, the wisdom and necessity of gathering together in fellowship, companionship, in all the ways to be “We”, for that is how you can brave the dark days ahead…together.

Now you face the other edge, that razor’s edge, that tipping point, which can lead you too far from your “I” as the needs, wants and demands of all of your relationships pull and push upon that “I” within the “We”.…you can lose yourself into the other.

So the Full Moon in Aries, so high and bright in the Autumnal sky, shines upon you now, to remind you of your origin and destiny, as one of the ones of the One; your uniqueness and integrity, that space of “I” is sacred, precious and necessary for there to be any relationship whatsoever.

The Libra Full Moon illuminates this great paradox of Life-Consciousness-Spirit…That now, as you come closer together, to brave the days and nights ahead, you must equally be true to yourself in order to be true to one another.

The Royal Road, the Noble Path, is always found in the Balance, in the Middle Way that the Masters speak of…and which you will find if you listen to the wisdom of your soul…and hearken to the song of the Stars…you will find your way.
