2024-10-13 Radio Show Transcript — The Winds of Spirit are shifting, 2025 and beyond

The Winds of Spirit are shifting, so what lies ahead in 2025?

(If you wish to listen to the show instead, here is the link on BlogTalk or Apple Podcasts)

In our last show we took a look at the US Presidential candidates. Today, I thought we should pull back from our “here and now”, so that we might look further out in time to the larger shapers, influencers and guides of our present, to consider the spiritual forges of our future, the outer planetary changes that are arriving in 2025 and beyond.

It is certainly evident that the “winds of spirit” are changing next year, as the planetary shifts in both sign positions and their alignments with one another are, well, they are quite remarkable. It is not common to have more than one or two outer planets change sign positions in the same year. But in 2025, we are going to experience all of the outer planets transitioning from one sign to another. That is just simply not something that happens normally, and it certainly means that some great changes are before us now.

Here are the Astrology Sign shifts in our planetary brethren during 2025 into 2026:

Pluto completes its transition from Capricorn, where it has been since 2008 into Aquarius, where it will remain until 2044.

Neptune, transitioning from Pisces where it has been since 2011 into Aries, where it will remain until 2039.

Uranus, transitioning from Taurus where it has been since 2018 into Gemini, where it will remain until 2033.

Saturn, transitioning from Pisces where it has been since 2023 into Aries, where it will remain until 2028.

That is quite an unprecedented series of shifts for these lords of time and space, and I will go through them to explain the meaning for each of them, and also consider their interrelationship with one another too.

PLUTO
The move of Pluto from Capricorn to Aquarius seems most consequential to me. From 2008 until now, we have witnessed Pluto’s influence challenging the institutional order of our world. Whether in the root institutions of family structures, or in communities, and on up to corporations and nations, the world order that began when Pluto was last in the sign of Aries, from 1823 to 1853 had reached its limit of integrity and sustainability. After this struggle to maintain, reform and/or tear down this order of reality, we are left with two more periods of Pluto’s orbit before we will truly create and enter our next new world.

Yes, we will have Pluto in Aquarius from 2025 to 2044, which can be likened to what happened before from 1778 to 1798, and in the cycle before that from 1532 to 1553. It is the purpose of this phase in Aquarius for the world to work through and struggle over the ideals and dreams of the future, to work towards a new social order, a new form of community. These challenges of building a new world will lead to conflicts over what kind of future humanity will make for itself.

With Pluto ruling the Will and the root power of Alchemy, the struggle in Capricorn over the old order is one kind of battle, with the choice between to tear down or to preserve what had been the order since 1823. But now we will enter in Aquarius the struggle over the kind of future we wish to be part of, what kind of society and culture do we yearn for and seek to establish, and this will be the main issue over the next 20 years. It is not insignificant for us that the last time Pluto was in Aquarius, the sign of social consciousness and conscience, humans experienced the American Revolution and the French Revolution, where there was a fundamental restatement of what it means to be in a human society. In the United States we stated that “All Men are Created Equal”, and in France, there was the “Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen”. The liberal system of cultural and political order was founded in this period, and what we are now faced with is quite simply our attempt to begin to establish a new kind or type of society and institutional order, which is as yet unknown and unnamed.

But then, there is one more final phase, which is Pluto in Pisces, and that will be from 2044 to 2068, which we can liken to what happened from 1798 to 1823. This is the final phase of Pluto, and we will turn to the fundamental question of our faith in one another and face our fear of the unknown, and we will reach the final struggle to create a new world order, as we restore our faith and enter a new world of Will when Pluto enters Aries in 2068. What will happen during this final phase of Pluto in Pisces?

Well, what happened in that previous final phase of Pluto from 1798 to 1823? It was for Europe, the attempt by Napolean Bonaparte to impose this new liberal order by means of force, a liberal Empire achieved through wars in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, and finally but disastrously, and quite rightly too, given his very anti-liberal pursuit of imposing freedom upon others, ending in his self-defeat by his attempt to “liberate” Russia by conquest.

Perhaps we, and our descendants, will learn from these lessons of history, and much will depend upon what kind of world we will begin to create from 2024 to 2044.

NEPTUNE
Since 2011, the boundaries between all realms or dimensions have become much more permeable and translucent as Neptune moved through the realm that it rules, Pisces. The general perceptions of what it real, the agreements and understandings about reality among and between humans became very hard to determine and hold together, as the lines between facts and fictions, between truths, half-truths and lies, dissolved to such an extent that we now live in a world where “anything is possible, and nothing is true”. Individuals, groups and whole societies have taken it upon themselves to be the arbiters of fact and fiction, and illusions and delusions have permeated the minds and hearts of many.

Now, as Neptune enters the sign of Aries, we will begin a new cycle of Neptune that will continue until 2039 when it enters Taurus. What might this mean for us? Will the chaos and confusion of our recent pass give way to certainty and progress, or might that fire of Aries lead to extremes of passions and strident battles over what is truly true?

If we look at our time of Neptune in Pisces from 2011 to 2026 and compare it to the previous passage on Neptune in Pisces from 1847 to 1862, we will find resonances with our time. And perhaps we can then look at the previous passage of Neptune in Aries from 1862 to 1875 and see how that might give us some indication for what lies ahead.

The 1847 passage of Neptune in Pisces began with a series of “revolutions” in Europe in 1848, which were mostly contained or reversed, not unlike in our own period with the so-called “Arab Spring” revolutions of 2011, which also were turned back by reactionary forces, and the promise of more power of and for “the people” failed to realize its potential. During the 1850’s in the USA, we experienced the rising struggle over abolition, of individuals and communities battling for and against slavery as in “bloody Kansas” and other scenes of struggle, ultimately culminating in our Civil War. So, what did the entry of Neptune into Aries bring?

The passage of Neptune in Aries from 1862 to 1875 was consequential for much of the world. Aries is the spiritual vessel or seed for the new and the renewed, it certainly seems to have signaled that around the world. In Japan, the Meiji Restoration brought about the consolidation of Japan under imperial rule, and propelled Japan upon the path towards modernity, turning it from a feudal kingdom into a formidable industrial power in a matter of decades. In the Americas, the Civil War was won by the north, and as Lincoln declared, a rebirth or renewal of the dream of the United States had begun. In Europe, Germany unified as a country after the Franco-Prussian War, and around the world the march towards industrialization led to the proliferation of labor unions, to the struggle for fair pay and better conditions of work in the ever-expanding manufacturing centers around the world, and these developments also sparked the move of vast majority of people away from living in an agrarian and rural lifestyle and into the rise of major cities and urban culture.

We cannot know, but perhaps we might be able to imagine what our post-industrial world is about to move into, what seeds of the new or renewal we might see in our Neptune in Aries passage from now until 2039. Most evident to me, of course, is that we will be faced with the task of transforming the means of meeting our needs into a sustainable future for us, and truly for all other life-forms that are the light and the love of our dear planet. For what we have come to know, and it really is part of the eternal journey of spirit in all the sparks of the divine, in all their lives, realms and worlds that fill the cosmos, we have come to the truth that every part of creation is related to every other part. That it is by our wisdom and humility and love for all of Spirit-Life-Consciousness that we must find our way to being truly human, to live by love for all of Creation, and that this is the one true path of spiritual awakening and redemption.

I would like to note here something that I have mentioned before, with regards to the nature of the relationship of the orbits of Pluto and Neptune with one another. In every passage of Pluto in Capricorn, Neptune is either in Virgo, or Neptune is in Pisces, as it is now. And this is also true for Pluto in Aquarius as well, that either Neptune is in Libra, or as it will be in our time, Neptune will be in Aries. That means that if we consider the meanings formed by Pluto and Neptune together, our period of 2024 to 2044 will be more like the mid 1500’s than the late 1700’s. And that period of the mid-1500’s is considered by historians, especially considering Europe but also in other places around the world, that it was the time when the world as we know it now, what we call the modern world, first began to take form. I believe that this means that what we are moving into now is the end of what we have known as our “modern world”, and that we are going to moving into a very different type of world indeed, what should be a truly “new world”.

URANUS
Let us now bring into this mix the influence of Uranus, which I like to call “The Awakener”. Since 2018, Uranus has been moving through the sign of Taurus, which it did also from 1935 to 1942, and 1851 to 1859, and 1768 to 1775. Uranus holds the principle of Individuality, with its influence being brought to bear in a manner so that a more confined or limited form of realization can be transcended. Because the essential purpose behind creation, at the core of spiritual unfoldment is the insistent, irresistible imperative which is “to be and become”, forged by the unique spark of the divine that resides in every speck and mote of Creation. For all of Creation, for all that is which is Spirit-Life-Consciousness, the third principle of Creation holds us, one and all, to the path of becoming a truly unique or quintessential form of expression of the One True Light.

With regards to Uranus’ passage through Taurus, it was for us at this time, as it did in the late 1930’s, and the 1850’s, and the early 1770’s, it was the purpose of Uranus to elicit and herald a revolution in the hierarchies of value, in how we humans value one another, as well as how we value the world around us. Now Uranus’ passage through Gemini will bring an elicitation of transformation and change to the arena of mind and thought, to all the innumerable ways we connect within and around ourselves, transforming how and what we think, what we believe, which will form and shape our intentions and actions for the next 7 years.

Uranus will move into Gemini, beginning in 2025, though it will go back and forth into Taurus during the year, to finally remain in Gemini from 2026 until 2033. The most recent previous passages in Gemini are 1942 to 1949, 1859 to 1866, and 1775 to 1782. It is surely noted by many of you, I am sure, that those three periods for the USA, and for the world generally, were very consequential. After all, great world events shattered and rearranged the world in these periods, as in World War II, our Civil War and our Revolutionary War. That does not mean that we are fated to experience another great disruption in our time, for I do believe we are capable of responding to the energy-forms within and around us in a manner of our own choosing.

But we would be ignoring the lessons of history, and of our present self-made human conditions, to be so blindly self-assured as to assume that we are more advanced and aware than our ancestors, and that we will not, as they did, face some great disruption again. We can hope, and we should make every effort to turn towards one another with understanding and love and try to heal and restore ourselves and our planet, to work with these planetary influences in the most positive way that we can.

But to do so, we must remember these very conditions that we face now, it is we who have made them, some by intention but many were not, and mainly because of a lack of understanding and humility with regard to how we have fueled our modern life through an unsustainable means of living. Now, with vast populations being uprooted by the forces we have unleashed, the crisis we call “climate change” has forged a tsunami of discord and fear that is rising among a vast majority of humans.

But it was those very crises that accompanied Uranus in the 1700’s, the 1800’s and the 1900’s, it was by those challenges that tested systems and shattered old ways of thinking, it was this that produced or led to a new consciousness, to new thoughts and better understandings. And that is what will happen to us as well. Uranus in Gemini is precisely the time for thinking beyond our old assumptions, to show that our true intelligence is found by freeing our minds from the self-cast shadows of certainties and fears that divide us from within, and equally divide us from one another too.

SATURN
Finally, we have Saturn, which just like Neptune is spending 2025 going back and forth between the end of Pisces and the beginning of Aries, and this sets up something that is quite remarkable for this pivotal year, and I do believe, may provide some greater measure of hope for how we will meet our moment of destiny. All the outer planets, from Pluto to Saturn, all of them will be forming a beautiful pattern of interrelationship with each other during 2025. All of the outer planets will be aligned in one third of space, 120 degrees of the Zodiac, from the perspective of Earth, from Pluto at the beginning of Aquarius at one end, to Uranus at the beginning of Gemini at the other, and exactly midway between them, we will have Saturn and Neptune at the beginning of Aries.

This is something special, and the Astrological name for it is a Sextile-Trine-Sextile, with our example being the Trine or 120 degrees between Pluto and Uranus, which is anchored and made manifest through the Sextile of 60 degrees of Pluto to Saturn/Neptune on one side, and by the Sextile of Uranus to Saturn/Neptune on the other side.

The defining Trine of Uranus to Pluto represents a particular moment in their 127-year cycle of relationship, which I see as holding the lessons and spiritual tenson between Freedom and Free Thinking (Uranus) versus Sacred Space and Willpower (Pluto). Their last cycle began at their conjunction in 1965 to 1968 and reached a critical turning point at their waxing square in 2012 to 2015. This Trine, this moment now, can or should be a moment where we may find some way or ways of holding these two principles together, of humans finding a balance between Individuality and Union, so that we have even Freer Minds and also preserve our Sacred Spaces.

And the specific space or place of activation and anchoring of this very special moment is being formed by the beginning of this new Saturn-Neptune cycle, which is released by their conjunction during 2025 into early 2026. Their cycle of relationship is 36 years, with their previous conjunctions being 1989, 1952–53, 1917, and 1882. I call their cycle of relationship as being the dance of spirit that holds or weaves together Reality (Saturn) and Dreams (Neptune).

The Saturn/Neptune conjunction in Aries represents a moment where reality is infused with a new dream, and it can and should be equally a time when a dream that seemed beyond reach becomes a reality. What this means, I believe, is that the Uranus to Pluto trine will be modulated, perhaps “blessed”, by Neptune forming a sextile to both of them, and equally grounded and made manifest by Saturn’s sextile to Uranus and Pluto too.

The “winds of the spirit” are changing this year, and the very real challenges we face, whether they be environmental, technological, or even epistemological, or in truth and in sum, all of these spiritual challenges have as their root cause that they were all made by us humans…and therein lies our hope, and I believe it is where can find our faith.

The future is not written or foreordained, for we are each of us forging some part of it each and every moment, and we do this in that space where we only exist throughout our entire journey, which is in the “eternal now”. The past is behind us, the future not yet made. At each moment in the eternal now we must be alert to what might be needed from us to redeem our past and make a better future too.

This is the message and lesson of Aries, the sign of new beginnings, the sign of the eternal now.

What matters is what you and I do next. This is the living source of our faith and of our hopes fulfilled, because we can choose, it is our choice as to how we will face and meet the next moment, and the next, and the next, and what we must do is be fully present in each moment, guided by caring intentions and loving actions.

This is the way of spirit; this is the way of the One.

Astrological Musings — The Winds of Spirit are shifting, so what lies ahead in 2025?

This will be our seventh show in 2024. Today I want to return to a broader view of the planetary formations, to consider the longer cycles that are shaping our present circumstances because we are about to enter a period of major transitions and changes in the heavens. Yes, 2025 is going to be a consequential year and I do believe that these many shifts mean that we are going to be moving into a very different type of world indeed.

Sun Enters Libra (September 22, 2024)

The One and the Many, the Luminous Bridge of Creation…Relationship

Today we reach one of the four fundamental turnings in the Zodiacal calendar, one season ends, and another begins. These four gateways of spirit hold the four directions of life which frame our journey through the stars, and so we ask, time and time again, “where did I come from, where am I going, who am I, and who are you”?

We are told that we are all part of and came from the One. We humans are one of a host of monads singing our songs of spirit upon countless worlds and in many lives. Our destiny is to someday reach our human apotheosis, when we become fully conscious co-creators of creation, formed and guided by Unconditional Love, joining the great company of shining ones or Devas in the life divine.

At the center of every part of creation is a monad of spirit; in every atom, molecule, organism, planet, star and galaxy, there is the spark of the Divine, because the whole of creation is the One made manifest, all made by Divine Unconditional Love. At the heart of every part of creation is a monad which is formed by Spirit-Life-Consciousness, and this is why all of creation is Spirit, and all of creation is Alive, and all of creation is Conscious.

In each and every life we seek to understand who we are to be in this life, to discover what is quintessential to us as a unique spark of the Divine, so that we might sing our true song in the chorus of spirit. And in each and every life we meet one another, again and again, because it is also true that we will find our true self through one another, because we are made by one another from the beginning unto the end. Whether in the infinitesimal worlds of monads and atoms, or in the divine heart of stars, it is also true for us humans as well; it is the truth that all of creation is forged, formed, and transformed through the agency and power of relationships, and so it so with one another as humans and with all the innumerable hosts of Creation too.

For the next 30 days, and always and forever an essential part of your very own being too, we celebrate the realm that is Libra. It is here, in the forge of Spirit, that you meet the great truth that what makes you, and what makes all of creation too, is the wonder that is the magic and mystery of relationship.

It is most certainly true, that we have been shaped and informed by all our experiences with one another, by mother and father, by sister and brother, by aunt and uncle, by our friends, by our colleagues, by a passing stranger, and our dearest loves ones too. And just as we have been shaped by them, so have we been an essential source of their forming, shaping, and becoming who they are meant to be as well. Truly, we are all made by and held in a vast web of energy-forms, and the most consequential and essential part of these energy-forms are these past and present relationships between with one another, so that we are truly inseparable from one another forever and ever.

This is why relationships are the Forge of Creation. You exist within your own sacred space, and the other before you, they are likewise in their sacred space, and then together we create what I call “Third Space”, which is the space that is your relationship. It is here where the magic of creative combination can lead you both to a better, higher and truer experience of being and becoming what you are meant to be.

Guiding your actions and reactions with one another, you must understand that whoever is before you, they are just like you, another spark of the Divine on this journey of awakening, made by and here to become fully human through love. You must do everything you can, and they must also likewise, to endeavor to make this new and sacred space a beautiful sharing and blending by which you and they can be even more what you are meant to be than you could ever be without one another.

In order to create, maintain and grow this experience with one another, you are to be guided by what you are, to give from your heart what is at the root of Creation, to live by unconditional love for yourself and for them. But no matter what place in this journey of awakening you are, you and they are not perfect, and you and they will make mistakes, you will give too little or take too much, you will trespass upon one another’s sacred space, and experience pain and loss. But this too is part of your journey. You are here to learn what to be, and what not to be, and you are meant to help one another to reveal these errors of omission or commission, so that you may turn away from pain and back to love.

And so, as a principal part of your journey to perfection, you must forgive yourself as you equally must forgive them. By this loving forgiveness you renew your shared sacred space for healing and growth. Yes, by humility, grace and forgiveness, as you try and fail, and try again, you will help one another to stay upon the one true path, which is the wisdom way of love.

Yes, we are the means to one another’s perfection, we are the instruments of our renewal and the reward of happiness and peace, and this will always happen when we stay true to our nature, and remember we are here because of love, and our only commandment is to love and be that love.

As it was in the beginning, so shall it be forever and ever,

Love one another.

Sun Enters Virgo (August 22, 2024)

Virgo, by Jack Baddeley

The Great Work

What is the reason you are here; what is your purpose here on the Earth, and what is your destiny? Some of the greatest minds have pondered these fundamental questions, as they wrestled with the meaning of life, and what will be our fate.

For me, the Ancient Teachings, and within those teachings the lessons brought to us by the gift of Astrology, point to the answer for these mysteries.

Why are we here; what is our purpose on Earth? It is really so simple, and yet so awfully hard, we are simply here to learn to be better humans. In life after life, we encounter opportunities and challenges, and each Zodiacal Sign holds part of the answer as to how we should and will make our destiny, by the manner in which we meet each moment, one after the other.

In Aries we learn the lesson of presence itself, of the power of our attitude as we encounter each moment in the eternal now. In Taurus we learn the lesson of value, of how all of Creation is made from Divine Love, as we learn to live by love with one another. In Gemini we open our minds to the wonder of Creation so that we may learn how to live as intelligent creators. In Cancer we reach deep into the roots of our feeling nature so that we may be guided to care for one another. In Leo we see the light of the divine in each other as we are led by love to respect and honor one another.

Now we have arrived at another turning in these, “songs of the spirit”. At this time every year, and always and forever a most integral part of your nature too, we turn to the gift that is held by the Sign we know as Virgo. In Virgo we observe, adjust, correct and improve ourselves, because in order to grow there must be change, and our growth must be guided by attentive intelligence to the need to live a life of integral balance with one another and our world.

The gifts of Virgo are clarity and focus, as we bring a critical eye to ourselves, to our world and to one another. By our service and dedication through all of our works in the world, from the most menial of tasks to the most meaningful sacrifices, we strive to be better, to become better, to be that better human we are destined to be.

Yes, it is in this most special space of Virgo, it is in this time and in this place where we seek and may find what we have always wanted. Wise ones know that whatever we may wish for or desire, whatever it is that we think might make us happy and content, whatever that might be, there is no way to experience any form of happiness without what you will find here in Virgo.

And what do you seek and what will you find in Virgo? The greatest gift of Virgo is to find your way to be at peace, to live as we were meant to be, which is to live in beauty and harmony with our world and with one another. It is by your self-correction and improvement, through your refinement and service, it is by this great work that you elevate your consciousness and your actions so that you may live in beauty within yourself and with one another too.

Yes, in Virgo you walk the path of self-mastery, sacrifice and selflessness, of dedication and grace to the great work of becoming a better human, and you will do well to remember these words of wisdom so that you will live your life as it was meant to be:

As I walk, as I walk

The Universe is walking with me

In beauty, it walks before me

In beauty, it walks behind me

In beauty, it walks below me

In beauty, it walks above me

Beauty is on every side

Living in Beauty

Loving in Beauty

May you walk in Beauty

May you live in Beauty

For all your days

May you be at Peace

Surrounded by Beauty

It is done.

2024–8‑11 Radio Show Transcript — The 2024 US Presidential Election, Kamala Harris-Donald Trump

The 2024 US Presidential Election, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump (August 11, 2024)

(If you wish to listen to the show instead, here is the link on BlogTalk or Apple Podcasts

I did a radio show back in 2019, and another in 2020 on Kamala Harris. In the first episode she was a Presidential candidate, and in the second I was analyzing her chart as Joe Biden’s running mate. But now that she is the Democratic Presidential candidate for 2024, and Tim Walz is her Vice-Presidential pick, I knew we would all want to take a fresh look at our current conditions, and in particular take a look at Kamala’s chart and compare it to Donald Trump’s.

I will do a summary of Harris’ chart and compare that with a summary on Trump’s chart. Then I will look at the current conditions in Harris’ chart and compare that with the influences prevailing in Trump’s chart.

When reading a chart, it is important to remain open and curious, to hold oneself within a holistic or inclusive observational framework. What this means is that even though we will immediately notice someone’s Sun sign, and their Moon sign and Rising Sign, and we will certainly ascertain a great deal from just these three indicators, it is important to step back and look for an overall pattern, an encompassing meaningfulness of the chart. What we look for are what we call planetary patterns, certainly an overarching pattern that all the planets may form with one another, and also to the individual patterns or formations within the whole chart. And it is from such an overall pattern or impression that we are able to discern a person’s basic type, something that forms their spiritual constitution and their approach to life in general.

For Kamala, the overarching pattern of her chart is what we call an Hour-Glass or a See Saw pattern. This is formed when there are a number of planets in one section of the chart, and then there is another gathering of planets across from the other, and then between those filled in areas there are no planets whatsoever. This creates a deep awareness or consciousness of opposite and contrasting points of view, of experiencing the world as diverse and complex, and especially seeing our human world as formed by opposing views which can lead to conflicts between one side and another. Because of this, Kamala is able to understand one side of a question, and also the other side (or sides), and so when she is working at her best, her desire and intention is to find the way to bring about understanding between one side and another, to reconcile the opposites if possible. Often that is found by finding a “third way”, which blends some of each into a more integral approach to the issues or problems being faced. Kamala’s challenge and her gift is to stand “in the middle”, to see the good and the less than good on either side of the issue, and try, if possible, to find a way beyond conflict. Kamala will strive to bring people and groups together to forge agreements by building bridges of mutual understanding.

Kamala is a Libra, with her Moon in Aries, and she has Gemini as her Rising Sign. Though that combination does create a very strong and idealistic persona, she also has a number of planets in Earth signs, including her ruler Venus in Virgo and Jupiter in Taurus, which together help to forge a more pragmatic approach from her values and sense of truth, leading her to a realistic application for her idealism. As a Libra she wants to work towards cooperation and understanding, but no one should mistake her as being over-accommodating. After all, she has the planet Mars, the planet of the warrior, in Leo, and it is also her rising planet, which means Mars will lead her through life. This makes her a fighter (Mars) for honor and respect (Leo), a leader who seeks to leads by inspiration and example. The challenge posed by her Mars, is that Kamala will have to modulate her assertive, martial nature so that she does not come off as too aggressive. Though this served her well as a prosecutor, it would have to be tempered in the public space of politics. I do believe that her more joyful demeanor and laughter now indicates that she is channeling her warrior spirit, but she is doing it with a sense of humor too.

At the very top of her chart Kamala has Saturn, in the sign of Aquarius. Saturn represents the test in one’s life, which by facing and overcoming that spiritual challenge will reward that individual by becoming one of their most important strengths and deeply shape their character. Saturn in Aquarius is the test of social consciousness and conscience, and by aligning one’s own dreams with the community, state or nation, a person can be a leader of social change and justice. And Saturn in the 9th house is the test of Truth. Here a person is challenged to continue to strive to understand, to realize the journey to truth is not about coming to a destination, but it is instead formed by a series of epiphanies, which leads the soul to expand their understanding to encompassing many approaches to truth, to find the common threads behind all sciences, philosophies and religions.

I have examined Donald Trump’s chart many times, but I will summarize his chart now just as I did for Kamala Harris. The overarching pattern for Trump is what astrologer’s call a Bowl or Hemispheric pattern. All planets fall within roughly 180 degrees, filling one half of the chart, and the other half has no planets whatsoever. This pattern fosters a high degree of self-containment and independence, creating a special sense of mission or purpose in life. Often the individual does not need much social interaction, as their own position or point of view is paramount. The planet that is the leading edge of this pattern forms the way they meet with the world. For Trump, this leading planet is also the uppermost planet in his chart, and it is right next to his Sun and opposite his Moon. That signature planet for Trump is the planet Uranus. Uranus is the planet of individuality and freedom, and given its prominence in Trump’s chart, he certainly sees himself as a unique individual, and his purpose is to be a breaker of icons and norms.

Donald is a Gemini with his Moon in Sagittarius, and he has Leo Rising. Like Kamala, Trump has a very strong and idealistic persona, but unlike Kamala he does not have any Earthy planets to balance out or temper his idealism. The combination of his Gemini Sun with the Sagittarian Moon makes Donald a very curious and restless individual, who swings back and forth between one position and then another, making him flexible and pliable, a mercurial nature with a constant stream of thoughts, notions and suppositions. And, interestingly, just like Kamala, Donald has the planet Mars in Leo, and given its placement just inside his 12th house, it also functions as one of his Rising planets too. This means Trump is a fighter too, but with Mars in his 12th house, he prefers to act as a sacrificial hero, and often works behind the curtain, covering up his true aims or intentions.

It is very interesting to note, that two factors shared by many presidents in US history, is either having Mars as the rising planet, for 20% of all presidents, or Mars in Leo, for 26% of all presidents. Admittedly, it is a small sample of only 42 individuals, but the fact that Kamala and Trump have both means something.

But there is another planet that one could argue functions as another rising planet for Trump, because we can certainly observe that it plays a significant role in the persona he projects to the world, and that planet is Neptune. Neptune is the planet of dreams, of imagination and fantasy, of inspirations and delusions. When Neptune is rising, and many movie stars have had this feature, you can play many or any roles, because the audience finds it easy to project their dreams upon you, so that in effect, that person acts like a mirror and becomes the bearer of others dreams or fears. And not only does Donald have Neptune rising, but it exactly squares the ruler of Gemini, Mercury, and so it is very much integral to the way he thinks and communicates. But another feature of Neptune, which rules the sign of Pisces, is to take on the role of savior or martyr, to play the hero or the victim. That certainly fits the persona of Trump, who swings between the vanquishing hero and the victim of a world that is out to get him.

Now let us look at the major planetary indicators in Kamala’s and Donald’s charts. When considering any chart, I first take a look at two indicators in order to get a quick sense of what is happening in any individual’s life. One indicator is the position of their progressed Moon, (sign and house) and the other is the house position of Saturn, and the aspects it is forming with the elements of their chart.

For Kamala, her progressed Moon has been moving through her 1st house since July 2023 and it will enter the 2nd house by December 2024, and it has been in the sign of Cancer since December 2023, where it will remain until November 2025. The progressed Moon in the 1st house is a time when you re-present yourself to the world, when you take on a new role, a new identity, and you lean into and develop a newer form of the power of your presence in the world. When it moves into the 2nd house, you focus on your strengths and values, and you are tasked with applying your faculties in ever more meaningful ways in the world. When the progressed Moon is in Cancer, it is a time to re-center yourself, to become more in touch with your feelings, and so be able to equally connect in more meaningful ways with other people. You more deeply connect to your roots and origins, and by extension find the way to connect to other people with regards to their needs for nurturing and security too.

From 2021 to 2023, Kamala had Saturn moving through her 9th house (which is where it is located in her birth chart). When Saturn is moving through the 9th, you are going on an inner and outer journey to deepen and extend your experience of the truth, whether that be cultural, scientific, religious or spiritual truths, or usually a combination of them all. By clarifying your truth, and more deeply aligning yourself to what guides and motivates you, you are in effect preparing for what comes next, which is Saturn in the 10th house, the Test of Responsibility. Saturn entered Kamala’s 10th house in 2023 and will remain there until 2026. This is the climactic moment in her life, where everything she has done since Saturn began it cycle through her chart, that is when it entered her 1st house in 2002–2004, then fully committing to her path with Saturn in the 4th house in 2008-10, and finally moving out into an even more public life when Saturn entered her 7th house in 2017–19, so that now all that she has done and prepared herself for is ready to be fully realized. Now she will feel the weight of responsibility, and if she has prepared herself, she will receive acknowledgement from the world that she is ready to fulfill her duty.

With just these two indicators, the progressed Moon and the transiting Saturn, moving through these angular houses, it certainly would seem that the stars have aligned for Kamala. But there are other indicators that are also favoring her at this time. Most significantly, Kamala was born with her Sun trining her Saturn, which forges and deep understanding of how the world works, and how one can and should work towards fulfilling your duty as an authority in the world. In progressions, the Sun moves about 1 degree per year in a chart, and it is precisely this year, when she is 60 years old, that her progressed Sun is now forming a sextile to her Saturn, which brings to fruition her potential.

Then with regards to other major transits, 2024 is the year when the planet Uranus is conjunct her Jupiter, the planet of benevolence, of being jovial, of good fortune and growth. Uranus brings the unexpected, like a door suddenly opening. Kamala was prepared to be a vice-president again, but Uranus came along, and another door opened, sudden good fortune, and just as suddenly, joyful.

Now let’s look at those two principal factors in Donald Trump’s chart, the progressed Moon and transiting Saturn. For Donald, his progressed Moon has been moving through the 3rd house of his chart from 2023 and will remain there until 2026. When the Moon is moving through this house you are being asked to work on your means of gathering data or information, of processing information, and then of transmitting it. What you will feel like is that you are sort of “back in school”, and you need to put your thinking cap on and reexamine the world around you and adjust your understanding and messaging about it. Basically, it is like going through a series of intelligence tests, and if you can adapt and grow you will do well. But if you refuse to change your approach and message, you will probably become more dissociated from the world around you. This is, after all, the natural house of Gemini, and Trump should be able to pivot and retool his thinking now. But from all the evidence so far this year, he is still saying the same things, in the same ways, and it is not reaching that wider audience he will need to win.

Meanwhile, his progressed Moon had been in Libra from September 2021 until January 2024, but it is now moving through Scorpio (until 2026). Whenever the Moon is in Scorpio, you are going to experience a far higher range of feelings and emotions, much higher highs and much deeper lows. Scorpio is the sign of Union, of birth, death and rebirth. The longing for the individual at this time is for a renewal, and a deeper connection within oneself and to others. The fear that must be faced is rejection and loss, and the very fear of death itself. Whatever happens to Donald at this time, he is going to react more strongly, and if he does not face his fears he will not fare well.

From 2020 to 2023, Donald had Saturn moving through his 6th house, the house that rules the ordering of one’s life, your lifestyle and way of working, of your health and the need for adjustment and healing. I call this house the house of suffering, because we suffer when we become unable to adapt, and we are attached to ways of being that were never or are no longer good for us. We suffer, not as a thing unto itself, rather suffering is nature’s way of saying “move away from this pain”, so that we will let go and grow, and become better. And if we do this, we are ready for what the next house will bring to us, the 7th house which is the house of relationships and our relationship to the world.

For 2023, 2024 and the beginning of 2025, Donald has Saturn in the 7th house of relationship. Just as in Kamala’s chart, this is one of the four angles of the chart, and indicates a change in one’s relationship with the world. If Trump has made the proper adjustments during Saturn’s passage through the 6th house, then he should be prepared to face the tests and opportunities of more meaningful relationships now. But if he has not released from his attachments that have caused him to suffer, then that will become evident to the larger world as Saturn moves through his 7th house now.

For 2024, while Saturn is moving through the 7th house it is forming a square to that most significant planet in Donald’s chart, the planet Uranus in his 10th house of the public life. This means he is facing a great challenge and difficulty balancing out his need to be different (Uranus) and his need to be responsible (Saturn). Often this combination of Saturn and Uranus can create a very tense period, with upsets and frustrations as the challenge to make necessary changes is thwarted by one’s own inability to change, or by other people who are the source of the resistance and/or the source of the pressure to change whatever he is resisting.

The other major factor in Donald’s chart this year is being brough to bear by that very singular planet for him, Uranus. During 2024, Uranus is moving back and forth over the cusp of his 10th house, and at the same time Uranus is squaring his Mars. I spoke about this in my show on January 28, 2024, when I previewed the 2024 election, with Trump and Biden as the candidates. I noted then that with the imminent return of Uranus’ position in Donald’s chart, he would experience shocks, both pleasant and unpleasant, that Uranus brings into our lives. The challenges of Uranus are meant to free us from our self-limitations, to move us towards a more truly individuated experience of ourselves and our world. If we are here to grow, then we are here to change, to evolve, to become what our purpose of Earth is all about, which is to become a better human.

If you respond to the winds of change by resisting, you may succeed if you are maintaining core values and principles. But if you are resisting because of fear, then your worldview and you will begin to crack and perhaps even shatter. Trump was prepared to compete against Biden, and it looked to many as if he would succeed. Then Uranus lined up with Trump’s Mars; the unexpected happened, Biden bowed out. This is, in Trump’s worldview, incomprehensible, that someone would walk away from power? He was stunned, and he certainly has not, as yet, recovered and responded to this Uranian turn of events. And while Uranus is squaring Donald’s Mars so as to make him act even more erratically, Uranus is forming a conjunction to Kamala’s Jupiter which is opening opportunities for her.

Given recent events and current conditions and considering the overall influences prevailing in Kamala’s and Donald’s charts this year, it seems very likely that the next president of the United States will be Kamala Harris.

I think in my next show we will consider the larger forces at work in the world, as we seem to be at an inflection point in many respects. We will certainly talk more about the USA election, but also cast a wider net on the trends in the USA and the world. The winds of the spirit are stirring, and we need to be attentive if we want to be prepared to meet the moment.
