The Pulse of Life

The year­ly jour­ney through the Signs of the Zodi­ac forms the peren­ni­al Song of Spir­i­tu­al unfold­ment for one and all. Each sign holds the nec­es­sary expe­ri­ences and lessons that you must mas­ter as you walk the path of awak­en­ing. Though you may know your­self as one Sign or anoth­er, you are real­ly an inte­gral and unique fusion of all these essences, and you are here to mas­ter them all. Through many years and count­less lives, you will one day achieve that more per­fect bal­ance with­in this Cir­cle of the Liv­ing Ones, and you will arrive at your even­tu­al and inevitable apoth­e­o­sis as a ful­ly formed human being.

This “Way” has been shown to us by those who came this way long ago. They are known to you as the “Great Souls”, who by their exam­ple and teach­ings ever help us through their inspi­ra­tion and wis­dom so that we may find our way as we fol­low in their foot­steps. These Great ones are known by many names, they are the self-mas­tered, the self-illu­mined or shin­ing ones, what we call the Angels or Devas, and they lov­ing­ly wait and watch over one and all.

The Song that is the Zodi­ac is chang­ing once again, mov­ing from the ele­ment of Water to Fire, from a focus that is inward to out­ward­ly once more. This is as it should be; it is the “Pulse of Life”. It is the breath­ing in and then the breath­ing out of Spir­it-Life-Con­scious­ness. This rhythm of life shapes and forms you; it is the true path of whole­ness made by hold­ing each sign togeth­er, and in a per­fect har­mo­ny they form a melo­di­ous and inte­gral song of spirit.

This is how you move upon along the “Path­way of Per­fec­tion” to an ever more per­fect con­di­tion of self-ful­fill­ment. By hold­ing all these ener­gy-forms togeth­er, in your own spe­cial way, it is by this that you become the spe­cial per­son that you are.

From your space of Can­cer, where you cen­tered and secured a truer sense of your­self, you felt a fuller expe­ri­ence of your essen­tial unique­ness of being. This is known as your “Quin­tes­sence”; it is your own Mon­ad, your own unique Spark of the Divine, and it is this essence that makes you tru­ly “you.”

But now the Pulse of Life moves on, and you are eager to move into the next realm of the Liv­ing Ones. You need to take this Ener­gy-Form of “you”, and flow and form it out­ward­ly into ever more mean­ing­ful forms of Self-Real­iza­tion. You are not mere­ly here to “feel” who you are, you will and must live this out in your life to real­ly be you.

Whether through a more authen­tic Cre­ation, or in a more inspired Role, or by a more uncon­di­tion­al expe­ri­ence of Love, it is in Leo that you move out to where you can be you and shine. Yes, in Leo you move from the realm of Feel­ing to E‑Motion, from Source to Man­i­fes­ta­tion. It is here in Leo, on the “Stage that is Life”, it is here that you will shine like a Star.

Yes, all the world is a stage and it waits upon you to become a star. If you have cho­sen well, so that your cre­ation, per­for­mance or love are guid­ed by a right and true align­ment with your high­er self, and so formed by uncon­di­tion­al love, then you will be seen as you tru­ly are…a shin­ing one too.

You will bring out the best in your­self, and by your exam­ple you will inspire oth­ers to reach in and so reach out to be their bet­ter selves too. This is true lead­er­ship; this is what we do for one anoth­er. We need one anoth­er. We need to be rec­og­nized and loved for who we are; as we in turn will respect and love them for who they are.

This is the heart of Leo; it is all about Love. We lead by our exam­ple, and by this we inspire oth­ers to be their bet­ter selves too. For in the heart of each and every one of us is a spark of the Divine, whose lumi­nous nature is Uncon­di­tion­al Love.

This is the Song of Leo; it is the Heart Doc­trine formed by the Light that will nev­er fail.

You are here to Shine.

You are here because of Love.

You are here to Love and be Loved.

Now turn toward one anoth­er and be who you are.

Just love.

It is that time, to slow down, step back and con­sid­er once again your most pre­cious gift, your self-aware­ness, the lev­el of your con­scious­ness, what you think of as “you”.

Yes, it is always good to take time to reflect and revise, (but espe­cial­ly for the next three weeks), so that you may be more able to under­stand your­self, as well as under­stand one anoth­er. Use that space “in-between one moment and the next”, a most pre­cious time, before you react to what was done or said, because you will always ben­e­fit great­ly by paus­ing, reflect­ing and being ever more mind­ful of your own men­tal atti­tude and how that influ­ences your demeanor or tem­pera­ment, as well as how that affects those around you most cer­tain­ly as well.

All you can con­trol is you, and this is prin­ci­pal­ly estab­lished by your Mind­ful­ness, by your aware­ness of your Aware­ness. Yes, it is time to take the next step in being a bet­ter per­son by tak­ing a firmer hold of your own mind. This is what Mer­cury ret­ro­grade offers to you now.

Mer­cury is turn­ing ret­ro­grade once again, and it is a most nec­es­sary and won­der­ful oppor­tu­ni­ty to con­sid­er: What you know, how you know it and in what man­ner should you (or should you not) share it with others.

Take even more time, be much more care­ful in lis­ten­ing to and speak­ing to others.

Much like the weath­er, if we do not pay atten­tion to the con­di­tions around us, we will most cer­tain­ly be unpre­pared for what befalls us. Know­ing about this “Astro­log­i­cal Weath­er” of Mer­cury, which affects our own men­tal dis­po­si­tion as well as our com­mu­ni­ca­tions with one anoth­er, we can avoid many problems.

Make use of this time, which ide­al­ly is a time for intro­spec­tion, con­tem­pla­tion, and for a deep­er recon­sid­er­a­tion how we know and what we know. By going deep­er, and being self-crit­i­cal, we can make cor­rec­tions, refine our under­stand­ing and open our minds to oth­er pos­si­ble ways to com­pre­hend the world around us, and be more con­sid­er­ate and mind­ful about one anoth­er too.

Mer­cury ret­ro­grade is for review, revi­sion and renew­al. From July 7^th till July 31^st, mat­ters may become more chal­leng­ing, progress in your affairs may seem­ing­ly slow down or become even reversed. This is per­fect­ly fine and is quite tru­ly an oppor­tu­ni­ty. It is very like­ly that the mat­ter need­ed fur­ther study or revi­sion. Though you might wish that you could always go for­ward in straight lines, you must under­stand that your jour­ney and life are more cir­cuitous, (and more inter­est­ing and mean­ing­ful for that in the end).

Yes, if it is pos­si­ble, avoid sign­ing an impor­tant con­tract or oth­er doc­u­ment. But in the mod­ern world life does go on, so just be pre­pared that when Mer­cury moves for­ward you may find the need to revise that agree­ment. The key as always is to main­tain your own cen­ter and self-con­trol, because that is all you have.

By tak­ing this time, by pay­ing more atten­tion, by being even more pre­cise in your com­mu­ni­ca­tions, (and like­wise encour­ag­ing those you are con­vers­ing with to make this same attempt too), you will be able to nav­i­gate the unin­tend­ed pit­falls and prob­lems that Mer­cury ret­ro­grade seems to bring. Real­ly, it is just our own mis­un­der­stand­ing of the change in ener­gies that is to blame. As the great observ­er of the human king­dom Shake­speare wrote:

“The fault, dear Bru­tus, is not in our stars / But in our­selves, that we are underlings.”
(Julius Cae­sar, Act I, Scene III)

We have lit­tle to no con­trol as to what takes place around us; but we have the capac­i­ty through the devel­op­ment of Wis­dom and Humil­i­ty to be mas­ters of our own mind, and by this we will forge an ever more pur­pose­ful life lived in “Right Think­ing and Right Action”.

Mer­cury is ret­ro­grad­ing from around 4 degrees of Leo back to about 24 degrees of Can­cer. The first 12 days of the ret­ro­grade in Leo will bring to focus ques­tions regard­ing respect, hon­or and integri­ty. You will be remind­ed to under­stand that you should expect to receive what you bestow; give oth­ers their due, respect their posi­tion or point of view and they may be more inclined to show you the same consideration.

The sec­ond half of the ret­ro­grade, from July 19^th to July 31^st, Mer­cury will move back through Can­cer, and the focus will shift to ques­tions about your home, fam­i­ly, nur­tur­ing, and secu­ri­ty. The prin­ci­pal oppor­tu­ni­ty here will be to more deeply con­sid­er what is at the root of you, what makes you feel “cen­tered” and secure. Ulti­mate­ly, it should remind you that all our cen­ters come togeth­er and so we find that by our ori­gin in the One “we are all relat­ed”. From this we will estab­lish our own well-being through our com­mon cen­ter; tru­ly our secu­ri­ty is found­ed upon car­ing for one another.

The gift of Mer­cury Ret­ro­grade is to help you lift your­self ever high­er, and it will bring you that much clos­er to the most pre­cious thing you will ever know…“Peace of Mind”.

Peace is found with­in. By tak­ing this time for qui­etude and con­tem­pla­tion, you can move clos­er to the sacred space that lies with­in one and all. It is there, in your sacred cen­ter, that you will hear “the Voice of the Silence”, the gen­tle whis­pers of Wis­dom and Truth that form the Hier­ar­chy of Life and Love.

There, at the cen­ter which is every­where, and whose cir­cum­fer­ence is nowhere, it is there that you will become a mas­ter of yourself.

The Jour­ney of Life

Who are you; What are you; and How do you Know?
These three ques­tions are posed by the first three Signs of the Zodiac.
In the Fire that is Aries you expe­ri­ence your Pres­ence; in the Earth of Tau­rus you expe­ri­ence your essen­tial Val­ue; in the Airs of Gem­i­ni you expe­ri­ence your Know­ing. So, what comes next in the Jour­ney of Life; what realm comes next in the Cir­cle of the Liv­ing Ones you know as the Zodiac?

Yes, it is that time once again to move deep­er and wider, to bring it all togeth­er, to gath­er togeth­er and weave togeth­er all that you are into some­thing more than all these parts and pieces of you…it is time to be whole. It is time to come “home” to Cancer.

It is from Fire that you find your Inspi­ra­tion and Vision, and in Earth that you form that Vision into Man­i­fes­ta­tion, and by Air that you Know and Under­stand. But here at the next turn­ing of the wheel you sense that this is not enough, because you appre­hend some­thing beyond ordi­nary know­ing. What do you sense? That you need to bring all of your­self togeth­er and expe­ri­ence you as you are; you need to weave them all into a whole one of you.

This is “The Way”, this is the true nature of you and in fact for the entire­ty of Cre­ation too. You are not bits and pieces, you are a whole being, a human being, and you will find your way to whole­ness through these realms of “feel­ing”. Yes, you bring you and all your myr­i­ad expe­ri­ences togeth­er by Feel­ing the whole of you.

The Way of Can­cer is to hold you, to embrace you, and to feel the Truth that all of Cre­ation came from, and it is made from, and it is held togeth­er as one by the One. You begin your own jour­ney to your cen­ter by feel­ing and find­ing your ori­gins in your imme­di­ate fam­i­ly. It is by Mother/Father, Sister/Brother, Grandmother/Grandfather, Aunt/Uncle, that you start your jour­ney of whole­ness. From this first cir­cle of fam­i­ly you will feel your sense of mean­ing­ful­ness and con­nec­tion to your­self and your phys­i­cal heritage.

From your fam­i­ly will come the famil­iar attach­ments to the cul­ture and life­ways that nur­tured and formed the first cir­cle of your sense of you. This is your first sense of ori­gin, your first feel­ing of home. But as you grow and expe­ri­ence the larg­er world for your­self, your expe­ri­ence of what is you will both broad­en and deep­en, so that it comes to encom­pass ever-widen­ing rip­ples of nur­tur­ing and mean­ing. You will through­out your life trim or alter some or even many of these “giv­en” roots of you, as you choose to align with oth­er mean­ings and sen­si­bil­i­ties that feel more cen­tered and truer to your jour­ney of becoming.

You will move ever inward as you equal­ly move ever out­ward until you come to where it all began. You will return to anoth­er famil­iar feel­ing, a con­stant, warm and lov­ing embrace, and you will smile because you sense that you are part of a much larg­er fam­i­ly. You will know that your pre­cious human life, and all oth­er life-forms too, that in truth the entire­ty of Cre­ation is held as an Ocean of Spir­it-Life-Con­scious­ness. Your home is in the “Stars”; and the whole of Cre­ation, of which you are a pre­cious spark of the Divine, that this entire Uni­verse is the body and soul of the one life that is the One.

You will know because you feel this, and it affirms and cel­e­brates your essen­tial kin­ship with all of life. Because in every speck and mote, in every crea­ture great and small, and in every plan­et and every star, all of life is held togeth­er as one by Spir­it. All these roots meet in the “Cen­ter that is Every­where, and whose Cir­cum­fer­ence is Nowhere”. All roots meet and join into one, because that is where we come from. Yes, if you fol­low your many roots, as you feel your way with these feel­ing-mem­o­ries-truths, as you go deep and deep­er, you will come to the very same cen­ter that is there for one and all. That is why, “We are all relat­ed” for we are all “ones of the One”.

We say to one anoth­er, “the heart is where the home is”. It is equal­ly true to say that, “your home is there, in your heart”. The Gift of Can­cer is to help you find your way to the cen­ter of you, to your place of whole­ness and truth.

Wher­ev­er Can­cer is in your own chart, that is where and how you make your way to what will hold you, embrace you and remind you that you are pre­cious. Each and every day you need to cen­ter your­self as you reach out to help oth­ers to feel cared for too.

This time of Can­cer is for you; it is a time of align­ment, cen­ter­ing and feel­ing the whole of you. And by this, you will also feel that deep, abid­ing and eter­nal love in which you live, in which you share your lives with one anoth­er, and by which you cre­ate this Cre­ation by and for one anoth­er too. You will know that you are here, you are sim­ply here, to care for one anoth­er as you are cared for too.

This is the mes­sage of Cancer:

Fol­low your Heart,

Love one anoth­er, care for one another,

And you will feel your “Home sweet home”.
